My Animal Guide

Cougar/Mountain Lion
-
At our last circle we did a trance to find our animal guide. When a cougar walked across my face I assumed I had willed her to be there and dismissed it. But when I read the description in my coven sisters book I realized it was spot on, regardless of the reasons she showed up. The main concept in having a cougar as your guide animal is needing to come into your power. It also talked about not allowing others around you to keep you from your full potential. I need to bring cougar into my life so that I can come into my power and reach the potential I know I'm capable of.

It's the first day of summer and will probably be our first day over 100° this year. Poor Jack was stuck inside clear through April because it rained so damn much and now he's stuck inside because it's too damn hot. I need to find somewhere in California with mild weather, cheaper cost of living, and plenty of jobs. Hmmm. Does that even exist?

Knitting Progress

The Blanket
-
I'm still knitting! You can see my progress here. I love the process of knitting but it'll be awesome to see the finished product so I can give it my friend's baby. I'm not sure what my next project will be. Maybe a blanket for our new apartment or something I can give my grandma as a house warming gift when she moves into her own apartment. I started up classes again and have been trying to be sure and set aside time for knitting and reading. I've done pretty good so far.

Our First Date Day

-
Cindi and I decided to start setting aside one day a week for the two of us to spend time together. We decided this was the perfect event since Cindi had to attend for work anyway. It was a beautiful drive up the Capay Valley which I don't believe I've ever done before. The event was small, the weather was nice in the shade, and the constant aroma of lavender was amazing. Even Jack got to come and he thought everyone was there to see him. Next time we'll have to be sure we have money to pick our own and to purchase some of their wonderful products.

Update

~The Mad Woman and Her Dog~
-
I am back! Well I hadn't gone anywhere I've just been too busy/lazy to post. I went and got myself some new spring clothes, being happily coupled has added to my tummy area and seems to have given me more curves. I wanted a picture of me in my favorite new skirt and Jack decided to join in. He's yawning in this one, or laughing at my awesome joke, not sure which.
Life has been good. I'm now working for one of our clients who is buying the business. So far not much has changed since my Grandmother is still working in the office. It's going to be a challenge until things get settled. I had taken a 4 week break from school after the wedding which went by all too quickly. I start my second to the last set of classes today. Only eighteen more weeks and I'll have my degree.
As I posted earlier we are moving into a larger apartment in three months so I've been sorting through our things to recycle, freecycle, or keep. I love getting rid of stuff, I feel it opens room for better things in our life. I was able to get some boxes from my dad and have begun boxing up items we won't need until after we move. I'm not looking forward to the moving part but I'm excited to have more space. We plan to kick the cats out of the bedroom and fill it with plants.
