Disaster
Kymberli + Salmon Oil = Disaster
Being the natural lesbian mom's to our pets that we are, we give our two cats and our dog salmon oil with their food to keep them shiny and soft. We had purchased 64 oz. in a glass amber bottle from Timberwolf Organics awhile back and need more, but they've been out of stock for awhile. We decided to get some from another company. We got a bigger bottle that was plastic so we figured we could pour some into the glass bottle for easier usage. Saturday after giving the animals dinner I decided to go ahead and fill up the glass bottle. I pulled the plastic jug out of the fridge. Luckily I decided to do it in the sink because I over filled the bottle. I put the cap on and and rinsed the bottle off with warm/hot water to get the extra salmon oil off the bottle, dried it off, and put it in the fridge. A little bit later I went to get some juice out of the fridge and the 64 oz. bottle of Salmon Oil had exploded all our over the inside of the fridge. The fridge that we had just filled with new food that afternoon. I had a meltdown, it was not pretty! Luckily Cindi stepped up and started cleaning, which I ended up helping her do after I calmed down a bit. So the lesson is don't rinse off glass bottles containing cold liquid with hot water!
